Furniture repair · Brisbane

Enquiries doubled. Traffic barely moved.

A Brisbane furniture repair business doubled its enquiries, from about 0.85 a day to 1.8 a day, after a full website rebuild and migration. Site-wide conversion reached 6.1 per cent, 103 of 111 URLs were indexed within five days of the cutover, and no search traffic was lost through the move.

The honest version of a good result. Organic clicks on this business are roughly flat year on year. What changed is what happened to the people who were already arriving.

Month by month

The traffic did not move. That is the point.

Australian traffic only, to the last complete month. In a market this small there was never a traffic mountain to climb, and pretending otherwise would have wasted the budget.

That is the honest half of the case: what changed is what happened to the people who were already arriving.

What we found

Where it was starting from.

Gap 01

A market that is genuinely small

The entire Brisbane repair and upholstery search cluster is around 150–200 searches a month. There is no traffic mountain to climb here, and pretending otherwise would waste the budget.

Gap 02

The site was the bottleneck

Visitors were arriving and leaving. The path from ‘this might be fixable’ to ‘here is a photo of my chair’ was too long.

Gap 03

A migration had to happen anyway

The old site could not carry the structure the business needed, which made the rebuild the moment to fix conversion as well.

Gap 04

The Business Profile was the best channel

And nobody was treating it as one.

What we did

The work, in order.

  1. Rebuilt the site around the enquiry, with photo upload on the form
  2. Migrated with a full redirect map and a same-day indexing push
  3. Built service pages for the specific repairs people search for
  4. Reworked the Google Business Profile, which converts hardest of any channel
  5. Added tracking that ties each enquiry to the channel that produced it
